I really understand why certain adults think that unless you took violin lessons when you were much younger, it's too hard for you to learn to play the violin at this age. I was there before, but because playing the violin is what I always wanted to do, since I was young, I finally broke all obstacles and tried it.
If I had a choice, of course I would have chosen to learn violin when I was a kid. But due to my family situation at the time, no matter how much I desperately wanted to learn violin, it would simply could not happen. I remember this and told myself: when I grow up, I will use my own money to learn to play the violin.
For me the violin is a musical instrument that is often overlooked, as there are so many guitar or piano players around. Therefore, a talented violinist producing beautiful and touching music...goes directly to your heart. Once you listen to the music, you're surprised how nice it is, and never will forget about it.
The option of playing a violin is impressive. However, the ability will not happen overnight. There are many hard practices required and steps to be taken before gradually becoming capable. Repeat your violin lessons and build your knowledge and skills.
In general there are 3 types of adult violin lessons to be found, namely lessons with a tutor, classes with a conductor, and online or DVD lessons under a master's instruction. I chose the third, an e-course directly downloaded on my computer.
Before this decision, I did a serious research, and have a few factors such as time, money and self-discipline. I did a comparison between the cost of the online violin lessons, private lessons, and tutelage. Plus, I have a good job that takes up a lot of my time. Online lessons allowed me the flexibility to learn at my own pace in my house.
Now, I can learn to play violin without spending a fortune or affecting my career. It's such a win-win situation!
